Backend engineering is the heart of this mission, solving real-world problems in credit infrastructure. Requirements What You'll Do: Build and maintainFastAPI-based microservicesfor core lending workflows Own and optimizePostgreSQL databasesfor scale and performance Develop and integrate secure, high-throughputREST APIs Deploy and monitor services onAWS(App Runner, Lambda, RDS, etc.) Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver new features Drive backend code quality throughtesting,code reviews, andclean architecture Ensure data integrity, system security, and performance under load Contribute to backend roadmap, CI/CD automation, and internal tooling What We're Looking For: 2+ years of backend development experience in aproduction-grade environment Deep expertise inPython(FastAPI preferred) Hands-on experience withAWS services(Lambda, App Runner, RDS, S3, etc.) Strong knowledge ofPostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization Experience building and consumingREST APIsand integrating with 3rd-party APIs Proficiency withGit,Docker, and cloud-first engineering workflows Strong fundamentals insystem design,performance tuning, andsecurity Familiarity withasync patterns, caching, and distributed systems Startup mentality: bias for action, ownership, and a collaborative attitude Nice to Have: Experience withevent-driven architectures(Kafka, SNS/SQS) Familiarity withCI/CD(GitHub Actions, CodePipeline) Prior experience infintechor regulated environments Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
