As an Assembly Process Design Engineer, your main responsibilities will include working in the area of jigs and equipment procurement for vehicle assembly. You will be a key team member for process and equipment planning for new plants and models in assembly shops. Your tasks will involve equipment design, RFQ preparation, installation, and commissioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing process sheets and PFMEA for vehicle processes. A crucial aspect of your role will be maintaining close coordination with the R&D and production divisions to ensure smooth functioning of manufacturing business operations. Your expertise in fixturing design using tools such as AutoCAD, UG-NX, Factory CAD, Plant simulation, and Process simulate will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively. To excel in this position, you should possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 3-10 years of relevant experience in the field of equipment designing and manufacturing. An understanding of newer designing techniques for equipment layouting and optimization, as well as knowledge of vehicle assembly processes, will be key competencies for success in this role.
