We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tech Pack Specialist to support our Product Development team in creating precise and production-ready technical packages for womens athleisure apparel . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction, technical design, and performance wear materials. You will act as the bridge between creative design and production, ensuring that all specifications and construction details are clearly communicated to vendors and factories. This role is crucial in translating our design concepts into fully-developed garments that meet quality, fit, performance, and brand standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Tech Pack Development & Management Create comprehensive tech packs for each design style, including: Detailed flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator Complete specification sheets with measurements, tolerances, and size grading Bill of Materials (BOM) including fabric, trims, threads, elastics, zippers, drawcords, hardware, and labeling Construction callouts for each section of the garment (e.g., seam types, topstitching, finishes) Placement guides for prints, logos, embellishments, hangtags , and care labels Colorways and fabric usage breakdowns by size 2. Collaboration with Design & Development Work closely with the Design team to translate creative concepts into technical documentation while maintaining the brand's aesthetic. Collaborate with pattern makers and product developers to ensure construction feasibility, cost efficiency, and material performance. Attend design handoff meetings , ensuring full clarity on style intent, fit goals, and material behavior. 3. Sample Review & Updates Review proto, fit, and pre-production samples to identify discrepancies from tech packs. Record feedback from fit sessions and communicate updates to vendors. Update tech packs with revisions and ensure accurate documentation is sent to all stakeholders. 4. Vendor Communication Liaise with domestic and international vendors for clarifications, sample tracking, and production timelines. Provide technical support to vendors for pattern adjustments, sample corrections, and construction improvements. Ensure all parties adhere to development calendars and product milestones. 5. Quality & Compliance Ensure tech packs reflect performance, comfort, and durability standards required for athleisure wear. Collaborate with QA/QC teams to define technical tolerances and test methods (e.g., stretch recovery, pilling, moisture-wicking). Support sustainability efforts by recommending eco-conscious materials or design-for-disassembly principles when applicable. Qualifications & Skills: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Engineering , or a related field. 3+ years of experience creating tech packs for women’s activewear, athleisure, or performance apparel. Advanced proficiency in: Adobe Illustrator (for technical drawings) Excel (for spec sheets and BOM management) PLM/PDM software (e.g., CLO, Browzwear, Gerber Yunique, Backbone ) Strong understanding of: Garment construction and patternmaking principles Size grading rules for women’s athletic body types Fabric behavior, particularly stretch/knit performance materials (e.g., nylon-spandex, recycled poly, compression blends) Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of SKUs across seasons. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred/Bonus Skills: Experience working with factories in Asia, Europe, or Central America Knowledge of sustainability in fashion , including fabric certifications (e.g., GRS, OEKO-TEX, Bluesign) Familiarity with 3D garment visualization software (e.g., CLO3D or Browzwear) Exposure to compliance testing standards for stretch recovery, seam strength, colorfastness, etc. What You'll Bring: A proactive, self-managed attitude with a passion for creating well-built, functional, and beautiful garments.
