Our client, a global telecom company is seeking a Country Manager to lead their sales, business development, and operations in India for their network product portfolio (e.g., routers, switches, SD-WAN, cybersecurity appliances, IoT devices, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the networking/IT infrastructure domain, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing channel partners, and expanding market share in India. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Business Development Develop and execute the India sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for network products (enterprise, SMB, or carrier segments). Lead direct sales, channel sales, and distributor partnerships to expand market reach. Identify and onboard new VARs, System Integrators, OEMs, and MSPs to strengthen the partner ecosystem. Drive key account management for large enterprises, telecom operators, and government projects. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly. 2. P&L & Operational Leadership Own the P&L for the India region , ensuring profitability and cost optimization. Work closely with global teams (product, marketing, supply chain) to align India strategy with corporate goals. Ensure smooth operations, including logistics, inventory, and after-sales support. 3. Team & Partner Management Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales & presales team . Strengthen relationships with key distributors, resellers, and technology alliances (e.g., Cisco, HPE, Fortinet, depending on product fit). Conduct training sessions for partners to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness. 4. Customer & Market Engagement Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. Work with marketing to execute demand-generation campaigns (webinars, roadshows, digital marketing). Gather customer feedback and collaborate with R&D for product improvements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field Experience in managing P&L and sales forecasting Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
