The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing processes to meet EHS goals by working across multifunctional teams and ensuring compliance with all standards and statutory requirements. They should have a track record of large-scale service accountability, the ability to navigate changing work scopes, and lead EHS discussions effectively. Required qualifications include a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's in health and safety or related fields, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in data center construction. Candidates should also hold at least one certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST). Excellent communication skills, experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders, interpreting standards, project delivery, and proficiency in MS Office tools are essential. The responsibilities of the role include reviewing EHS schematic plans, systems, and documentation related to various areas such as Electrical Safety, Occupational Noise Control, Emergency Response Planning, Hazardous Substances Handling, Root Cause Analysis, and more. The candidate should have the ability to work with diverse groups across multiple time zones, demonstrate project and relationship management skills, and be comfortable with ambiguity and change. The Facilities Manager will manage the day-to-day client activities for the assigned property/facility and be the on-site key point of contact for key stakeholders and/or clients. You will have overall responsibility for site budgets, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment & supplies, occupancy services, and helpdesk. You will oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Additionally, you will compile and prepare reports for upper management's review and use. You will demonstrate and ensure to instil a culture in the team valuing the Customer, manage and coach the team, develop and sustain a high-quality well-motivated team, and ensure high staff morale, trust, and work ethics. It will be your responsibility to build and maintain an environment that supports teamwork, co-operation, and performance excellence within the team, as well as mentor and enable the Training & Development of team members. In this role, you will proactively engage stakeholders to ensure that on-site clients" expectations are met and build and develop effective client/stakeholder relationships across multiple levels of the organization. Recommending continuous quality improvement practices and implementing Industry Best Practice operations will be crucial. You will implement building procedures and performance measures and ensure they are maintained at all times while ensuring all Critical Environment (CEM) requirements are met. Other responsibilities will include overseeing daily administrative tasks, including office supplies management and equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, and living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering background, a minimum of 7 to 8 years of experience, proficiency in both spoken & written English, Kannada & Hindi languages, and be able to oversee daily administrative tasks, including office supplies management and equipment maintenance. You will also ensure regular inspections and maintenance of the facility to meet health and safety standards, assist in organizing company events, meetings, and other administrative projects, oversee the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems, develop, implement, and monitor security policies, protocols, and procedures, oversee transportation operations, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and driver management, and be prepared for a one-year contractual role.
