The role assists the NAM in handling the account portfolio. The Amazon Data Centre Engineering Operation ( DCEO ) team is seeking a strong technical expert in electrical/mechanical/control and firefighting system as a DCEO Facility Manager in India Infra operation team. Responsibilities of the Facility Manager for India region are to support ADSIPL within its owned and operated Data Centers in India. This position will provide a central point of ownership and accountability for the overall 'hands-on' management of the Mechanical, Electrical (M&E) and across ADSIPL's portfolio of Data Centers in India. This position will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the critical infrastructure supporting IT operations within the Indian Data Center space. It will also include event management, incident management, problem management, change management, and cost/contract management. In addition, this will include the relationship management with the landlords, critical facility vendors, Data Center Construction team, Data Center Operations team, Technical Program Managers, Security team, and Logistics team in India. The position will require 24x7 on-call, scheduled weekend work support and managing rotational shift. Key job responsibilities A Data Center Operations Manager holds a critical leadership position overseeing multiple availability zones, typically managing 2-4 data center locations and a team of at least six direct reports including shift engineers, technicians, and chief engineers. This role combines strategic facility management with hands-on technical oversight of critical infrastructure systems. The manager ensures optimal performance of essential systems including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and cooling equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability. They are responsible for both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning, including facility build-outs, efficiency improvements, and capacity management. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage remote teams, coordinate with IT managers and business leaders, and oversee vendor relationships.
