This includes overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and ensuring that the MEP systems comply with the relevant standards, hospital specifications, and regulations for health and safety. Key Responsibilities : Site Supervision & Coordination : Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, firefighting, etc.) for the hospital building. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of systems. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for timely delivery and quality of materials. Quality Control & Compliance : Ensure MEP works are carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards. Perform inspections and tests to ensure that MEP systems meet the required standards and specifications. Ensure that all MEP works adhere to safety standards, especially in sensitive hospital environments. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve any issues related to MEP installations, system malfunctions, or design discrepancies. Provide solutions to minimize delays and mitigate risks to the project. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain daily site reports and document MEP works, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities. Prepare progress reports and assist in preparing reports for site meetings. Ensure all relevant project documentation is submitted and updated regularly. Collaboration & Communication : Communicate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure a smooth workflow. Attend site meetings and provide updates on MEP work progress. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other site personnel. Qualifications & Skills : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field. Experience : 3+ years of experience as an MEP Site Engineer in construction, preferably in hospital or healthcare projects. Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of hospital-specific MEP systems. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations for hospital construction (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, and healthcare facility standards).
