Job Purpose:
To ensure safe execution of hospital construction projects by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, complying with statutory regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture at site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor health & safety policies in line with hospital project requirements, statutory laws, and international standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA) specific to hospital construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with fire & life safety codes, infection control protocols, and healthcare-related safety guidelines.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, induction, and regular safety training for all site staff and workers.
  • Inspect and enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor high-risk activities (electrical works, hot works, working at heights, confined spaces, lifting operations, etc.) and ensure safe practices.
  • Implement emergency preparedness & evacuation procedures (fire drills, medical emergencies, chemical handling).
  • Maintain and update all statutory records, permits, and safety documentation.
  • Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses, along with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Liaise with the client, consultants, PMC, and statutory authorities on safety matters.
  • Ensure contractors/sub-contractors comply with project-specific HSE requirements.
  • Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of workforce at hospital projects

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering with Certified Safety Officer qualifications (NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of safety experience, with at least 3 years in hospital/healthcare construction projects preferred.
  • Good knowledge of NBC, NFPA, IS codes, OSHA standards, and local statutory requirements.
  • Experience in handling medical gas pipelines, electrical systems, fire safety systems, and infection control safety aspects.
  • Strong communication, training, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks and implement corrective measures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
