As a Senior Java Developer at EY, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to integrating backend services effectively and optimizing application performance under varying loads. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks. - Implement event-driven architecture and microservices to enhance application scalability and performance. - Utilize a comprehensive technical stack including Java, Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Azure Data Lake to deliver innovative solutions. - Collaborate with teams to ensure effective integration and performance of backend services, including APIs using GraphQL. - Implement security best practices, including OAuth for authorization, JWT for secure information exchange, and Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time updates. - Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration to manage application deployment, scaling, and operations. - Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives. - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance under varying loads. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot and microservices architecture. - Deep understanding of Java concepts and best practices, with proven experience in critical thinking and problem-solving. - Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Azure Data Lake, and GraphQL. - Strong understanding of security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and SSE. - Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
