Financial Systems Analyst I

As a Data Testing Analyst in the Regulatory Reporting automation program at American Express, your role will involve supporting the Business Specialist Manager in driving the automation of the regulatory reporting platform by analyzing and exploring Finance data. Your collaboration with various teams within American Express will be crucial in designing, implementing, and migrating the solution into production. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting data analysis on existing processes and datasets to understand and facilitate Point of Arrival (POA) process design - Guiding in determining portfolios, data elements, and data grain required for designing processes - Assisting in reviewing data scenarios and aligning reporting with regulatory guidance - Identifying and documenting business requirements, functional design, and prototyping - Developing functional requirement documents (FRDs) and process-specific design documentation - Understanding solution architecture components and standardization of datasets - Implementing master and reference data for operational and reporting processes - Participating in daily meetings with various implementation groups and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure appropriate builds - Assisting in user acceptance testing, parallel run testing, and development of testing algorithms Qualifications Required: - SQL and data analysis experience - Product/platform understanding and process design experience - Knowledge of Financial Data Warehouse and Reporting Solutions - Proficiency in Data Analytics, creating functional designs, and data mappings - Experience with MS Excel, Power Query, and testing management - Familiarity with data warehousing principles, Agile methodology, and financial reporting - Organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple deliverables - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Relationship building, presentation, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of US Regulatory Reports - Experience in data analysis and testing of financial data domains - Development of testing automation capabilities - Exposure to Cloud capabilities American Express offers competitive salaries, bonus incentives, financial well-being support, comprehensive benefits, flexible working arrangements, generous paid parental leave policies, access to wellness centers, counseling support, and career development opportunities.,
