Job Description

An IVF counsellor provides emotional support, educates patients about the IVF process, and helps them cope with the psychological aspects of infertility and treatment. Key responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, creating personalized support plans, collaborating with the medical team, and maintaining accurate patient records. They also offer support for complex situations like third-party reproduction and failed cycles.

Patient and family support

  • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to individuals and couples.
  • Offer emotional support and coping strategies throughout the treatment journey.
  • Conduct initial assessments to understand patients' mental and emotional health.
  • Assist with decision-making regarding treatment options, embryo storage, and donation.
  • Provide mandatory counselling sessions for third-party reproduction (e.g., donor sperm/egg, surrogacy).
  • Offer crisis intervention support for difficult times like miscarriage.

Education and guidance

  • Educate patients about the IVF process, including potential risks, outcomes, and associated emotional challenges.
  • Help patients manage expectations and develop realistic goals.
  • Provide educational resources and facilitate support groups or workshops.
  • Explain financial aspects of treatment, packages, and multiple cycles.

Collaboration and administration

  • Collaborate with fertility specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and present patient-related reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in reproductive health and counseling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,009.58 per month
