Financial Controller

Let's dive into the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this position: **Role Overview:** As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial closing & reporting, financial analysis & planning, auditing & compliance, process improvement & internal controls, as well as stakeholder engagement & team leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the accurate and timely closing of financial books at the end of each accounting period. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and IFRS during the closing process. - Prepare fixed assets register and scrutinize balance sheet, profit & loss account, and cash flow statements regularly. - Coordinate the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow analysis. - Conduct in-depth analysis of assets, liabilities, and profit & loss accounts. - Perform variance analysis comparing historical periods and budgeted figures. - Analyze working capital schedules, AR & AP ageing, and inventory ageing. - Assist in preparing business plans and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making. - Liaise with internal and external auditors; provide necessary documentation during audits and regulatory reviews. - Maintain knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards for compliance. - Review and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. - Develop best practices in financial consolidation and reporting. - Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and stakeholders. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals for high performance and growth. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless financial operations. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience. - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
