The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role that involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary goal of this position is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in application/software development and maintenance, with a specific requirement of experience in the Banking domain. Additionally, you must possess at least 8 years of experience in Big Data Technologies like Apache Spark, Hive, and Hadoop. It is essential to have worked with Abinitio or similar ETL technologies such as Data stage, Informatica, etc. Strong technical knowledge of Apache Spark, Hive, SQL, Hadoop ecosystem, UNIX/Python Scripting, and Oracle/DB2 is necessary. Proficiency in Pyspark/Java & Python programming languages is a must, with hands-on experience in at least two languages being mandatory. You should have experience delivering high-quality software following continuous delivery practices and using code quality tools like JIRA, GitHub, Jenkin, Sonar, etc. Profound knowledge of creating large-scale distributed applications with Hadoop and Spark is required. Familiarity with various data storage solutions like RDMBS(Oracle), Hive, HBase, Impala, etc., is essential. Working experience in Agile methodology and Financial applications/Finance processes is mandatory. The ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of various analyses or reviews is crucial. You should be results-oriented, willing, and able to take ownership of engagements, with strong analytical skills. Good to have qualifications include work experience in Citi or Regulatory Reporting applications, proficiency in JAVA (Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot Restful Services), Python, Web services (REST, SOAP), XML, Java Script, Microservices, SOA, etc. Experience with vendor products like Tableau, Arcadia, Paxata, KNIME is a plus. Knowledge of NOSQL Databases like MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra, etc., and experience with API development and data formats are beneficial. Hands-on experience in cloud technologies, especially in data engineering, and AI/ML integration for creating data pipelines, are additional assets. This role falls under the Technology job family group, specifically in the Applications Development job family, and is a full-time position.,
