As the Financial Manager at our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial matters with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting. Your role will involve optimizing financial performance for the respective service line by leading end-to-end project accounting activities and preparing monthly financial reports covering P&L, AR/Unbilled, Backlog, and utilization. Your key responsibilities will include direct involvement in contract month-end close activities in the Oracle system to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of results. You will engage with the commercial and project controls team during the post-contract award phase to conduct margin analysis and identify opportunities for driving improvements and commercial efficiencies. Attending key project reviews will be essential to ensure the accuracy of reported financials. Collaborating with management, you will be involved in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and rolling forecasts. This will include validation and challenging of backlog, inputs from Business Development, and operations. You will drive sustainable working capital improvements and work towards optimizing cash collection and minimizing DSO by liaising with operational management, project managers, supply chain, and other relevant areas. In partnership with shared services, you will ensure that project billing is up to date and actively drive cash collection for the respective service line. It will be your responsibility to prepare, analyze, and review all relevant finance reconciliations on a monthly basis to identify over/under-recoveries and take corrective actions promptly. Engagement with external, internal, and client auditors will be necessary to support the successful completion of audits. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining an effective control environment by ensuring compliance with all Group control frameworks, policies, and procedures. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the service lines and sharing best practices within the function will be encouraged. You may also be required to support ad-hoc projects as appropriate. To qualify for this role, you should have further education through college or university with a recognized accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and commercial experience is required, along with a proven track record in people management and team development. Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle Orbis and EPM will be beneficial, along with experience in effective business partnering and stakeholder management.
