Reviewing technical building and infrastructure plans and drawings for the project will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. You are expected to have a strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) activities and their sequencing. Preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, and project specifications will be required from your end. Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance with safety standards will be a key aspect of your role. Experience in working on high rise buildings is preferred. You should be able to effectively manage the people on site and ensure that the work is progressing according to plan. Forecasting and ensuring the quantities as per BOQ (Bill of Quantities) will be part of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for the final handover to the end user. Initiating and ensuring timely approval of additional activities to be carried out apart from the drawings is also expected from you. Scope of Work Solar Project Lead Position- Lead Project Head Roof Top Solar A) Skills & Competency Knowledge of Solar & especially Rooftops Understating of Acquiring the vacant rooftop of the Govt buildings Liaison with nodal agencies /dept for execution Understanding of EPC -execution & Monitoring Techno commercial expertise- Contract Management Terms Market Intelligence for the Kusum projects Costing & Billing Understanding of the P&L of the projects Decent network of the market for designed intelligence for the project execution Must be a team player Liaison with Government & Nodal Agencies Work directly with: RREC / DISCOM / CEIG Govt. engineering departments (PWD, PHED, Municipal, etc.) Nodal Officers, Circle Engineers, Senior Officials Fix meetings, explain project proposals, and get verbal and formal approvals. Ensure all documents (feasibility reports, drawings, applications) move through the right government channels quickly. 2. Site Handling & Survey Visit pre-listed government buildings. Do on-ground survey: Rooftop/ground measurement Check for shadows, sun availability Load verification (bill, meter, sanctioned load) Take site photos, GPS details, and rough layout notes. Prepare feasibility note and share with design team. 3. Design & Feasibility Follow-Up Coordinate with design engineers: SLD, BOQ, structural drawing, PR calculation Make sure designs align with DISCOM/RREC norms. Submit for approval Get nodal officer/beneficiary sign-off. Follow up for structure safety certificate if needed. 4. Approvals & Documentation Apply for: Net Meter & Solar Meter NOC CEIG safety inspection Electrical drawing and layout approvals Keep track of all files, dispatch copies, and submission receipts. Maintain WhatsApp/Email trails with departments for status follow-ups. 5. EPC/Subcontractor Coordination Identification of the contractor in support with the Lead & MD Handover site & design to execution contractor. Coordinate daily with site supervisor. Ensure correct MMS, panel, inverter installation as per drawing. Help solve site-level issues by coordinating between EPC & govt. officials. 6. Project Monitoring & Reporting Weekly progress updates with photos. Highlight stuck points (e.g., CEIG delay, net meter issue). Conduct joint inspections (govt + internal team). Maintain checklists for whats done/pending. 7. Final Handover Ensure CEIG + net meter installed. Prepare and get WCC (Work Completion Certificate) signed by nodal officer. Ensure all documents handed over to internal ops team. Help initiate AMC or O&M transition if needed. Pre-installation Site Evaluation: Identification of Govt. Buildings/Govt. undertaking (to be obtained from concerned A.En.
