Job Title: Sales Engineer Department: Oil Mist Reporting To: Sales Manager - India Location: Chennai Overall Purpose of The Role: To sell and promote our Filtermist Oil Mist extraction units and spare parts / ancillaries to Distributors and End Users Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Sales · Develop sales Oil mist collectors in the Filtermist group within a designated sales Region and selected Key accounts, by generating new enquiries through proactive selling techniques to new and existing customers and following up enquiries generated by company marketing activities. · Design, cost and propose detailed technical solution quotations to achieve and maintain a targeted gross profit in a timely professional manner. · Ensure a smooth handover of detailed information to administration once quotations have been converted to orders, and work alongside the warehouse teams to ensure dispatch. · Assist finance department with debt recovery from customers as and when requested. · Promote, and work with, the Group’s aftersales division services, handing over enquiries for service work, remedial works, and repairs as appropriate. · Actively promote our ‘clean air solutions’ strategy in the specific sales area. · Achieve targets for sales revenue, profit, opportunity generation and quote conversion. · Provide reports to management and attend sales meetings as and when required. · Ensure that all appropriate customer/contact/pricing/quoting data is collected, cleaned and/or inputted into the CRM system. · Organise and attend structured sales visits with new and existing accounts. · Secure and maintain current business levels and increase future sales. · Identify future sales opportunities with Filtermist sales teams. · Co-ordinate and deal with all Technical Support requests from within your specific sales region. · Suggest and help implement new marketing initiatives. · Attend and support exhibitions and marketing programmes. · Prepare and make presentations to promote Filtermist in specific. Essential Skills and Experience Required: Experience: At least 3 years in a similar Engineering service role with comparable goals and responsibilities. Education: Have a good level of education. Above this you need to be experienced with Microsoft Office Programs. Skills: You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. To be efficient, effective, and highly organized with the ability to plan and manage your own time where prioritization is key. You need to be an individual who has excellent attention to detail when report writing. Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. We require the individual to have a positive attitude, with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to work under pressure.
