You are on a mission to reinvent how designers work in the AI era, being backed by top investors from OpenAI, Google, and Dropbox, you are building the next-generation AI design tool for product teams. As a Staff Frontend Engineer with 8+ years of experience, you thrive on solving complex problems and take initiative without waiting for instructions. You will collaborate directly with the founding team to architect core systems, construct complex infrastructure, and influence the future of software design. You must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a frontend engineer in a product-focused tech company and possess strong expertise in React and TypeScript for the frontend. Proficiency in atomic state management using Recoil, Zustand, Jotai, or Redux with middleware is essential. Experience with real-time collaboration tools like Yjs, CRDTs, WebSocket/Socket.io, as well as performance optimization techniques such as virtualization with React-Virtualized/TanStack Virtual and WebAssembly integration is required. Basic exposure to back-end technologies like Node.js/API integration and REST/GraphQL is also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with SVG/canvas rendering libraries such as React-Konva, React-Flow, React Three, or D3.js. Experience in DevOps tools like Docker, CI/CD, and working with Figma-like apps, design tools, or collaborative editors is advantageous. Knowledge of WebRTC for peer-to-peer communication and contributions to open-source React libraries are also beneficial. Your key responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable front-end and back-end systems. You will collaborate closely with designers to implement UI/UX designs into high-quality, production-ready code. Optimizing performance and scalability for real-time collaborative features, contributing to the architecture and engineering culture of Weaver, and establishing integrations with design tools and developer environments are part of your role.
