Field Researcher

As a dedicated individual at Tiny Miracles, an Amsterdam and Mumbai-based foundation and social enterprise, your role will involve conducting a comprehensive socio-economic survey of bamboo artisans in Mumbai. You will be responsible for fieldwork, data management, reporting, and community engagement to gather valuable insights into the practices, challenges, and market dynamics of bamboo artisans in Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: - Fieldwork: - Identify and visit 4-5 bamboo artisan clusters in Mumbai. - Conduct structured interviews with artisans using the provided questionnaire. - Document responses, observations, and photographic evidence (if permitted). - Data Management: - Accurately record and organize qualitative and quantitative data. - Collaborate with co-researcher to ensure consistency in data collection. - Reporting: - Prepare a final report summarizing findings, challenges, and recommendations. - Highlight key trends such as declining artisans, raw material issues, and market demand. - Community Engagement: - Build rapport with artisans to gather authentic insights. - Identify additional clusters through local recommendations.
