Field Operations Executive

Job Description

Role Summary: We are looking for a hands-on and committed Operations Manager/Supervisor to oversee overall depot operations across our fleet network. The role involves managing vehicle upkeep, ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to, monitoring service quality and punctuality, and directly supervising driver performance and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Management: Oversee the readiness of vehicles at all depots including cleanliness, documentation, and compliance checks. Ensure vehicles meet quality standards for daily dispatch. Coordinate with the maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Maintenance Oversight: Monitor vehicle service schedules and ensure timely servicing and repairs. Verify post-maintenance quality before vehicles are released back to operations. Maintain detailed records of vehicle health and service history. Quality & Punctuality Control: Ensure buses depart on-time as per the operational schedule. Implement checks to reduce vehicle delays, breakdowns, and customer complaints. Monitor depot activities to maintain high service standards. Driver Management: Conduct regular driver meetings to reinforce safety, punctuality, and customer service protocols. Manage driver duty rosters, leaves, and grievance handling. Ensure drivers are trained and comfortable with any new systems (e.g., tracking devices, ADAS, etc.). Operational Reporting: Track daily operational metrics (vehicle availability, on-time departures, breakdowns, etc.). Report field findings and depot-wise performance to senior management with actionable suggestions. Incident Management: Handle operational incidents including vehicle breakdowns, driver misconduct, or service disruptions.
