Job Role: Senior Technician – Office Chairs Department:** Production / Manufacturing Location: Bangalore Reports to: Operations Manager / Supervisor Job Purpose:The Technician will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining office chairs to ensure they meet quality, ergonomic, and safety standards. The role involves hands-on work with tools, components, and machinery used in chair production. Key Responsibilities:Assemble office chairs as per design specifications, drawings, and SOPs. Inspect raw materials, chair parts (base, mechanism, gas lift, armrest, upholstery, castors, etc.) before assembly. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machines safely for chair assembly and finishing. Conduct quality checks for durability, balance, and comfort of chairs. Repair and replace defective chair components when required. Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools. Follow production schedules and targets set by the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at the workstation. Record production output and report issues or delays to the supervisor. Support new product prototyping and testing as guided by the design/engineering team. Skills & Qualifications:ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Upholstery, or related trade preferred. Prior experience in furniture or office chair assembly is an advantage. Ability to read technical drawings and assembly manuals. Knowledge of chair mechanisms, ergonomics, and basic upholstery is desirable. Skilled in using hand tools, drills, screwdrivers, and other assembly equipment. Physically fit and able to lift/move chair components. Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety. Key Attributes:Team player with a positive attitude.
