The role you are applying for will be within the automotive business segment, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the development of a new company geared towards addressing the evolving global automotive market. As a Senior/Lead Engineer Virtual Validation in the India Automobile Business, your primary role will involve coordinating and executing virtual validation activities for the designed and developing products within the portfolio. Your focus will be on achieving exceptional results through personal effectiveness, collaboration with team members, and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their needs efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Planning & Execution of Projects (20%): This includes creating detailed technical approach notes, estimating efforts, identifying required competencies, and assessing project risks. - Finite Element Analysis Execution Process (40%): Translate customer requirements into Finite Element models, manage day-to-day activities, coordinate analysis tasks, and promote team competencies. - Reviews & Reporting (10%): Ensure coordination among team members, review project progress, manage budgets, and participate in technical meetings. - Team Administration (5%): Support team leaders in various administrative tasks such as staff hiring and capacity planning. - Continuous Improvement Initiatives (15%): Identify improvement opportunities, implement corrective actions, and monitor processes to enhance productivity and quality. - Innovation Culture (10%): Lead the adoption of new methodologies, foster innovation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop innovative solutions for stakeholders. Candidate Profile: - Education: Masters or bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering - Experience: 6-9 years in a relevant functional role - Skills: Strong technical knowledge in Finite Element Analysis, communication skills, ability to work in diverse environments, decision-making capabilities, and relationship management skills. Key Skills & Knowledge: - Advanced understanding of FEA methodologies - Proficiency in ANSYS Design Modeler/SpaceClaim and ANSYS Classic/Workbench tools - Knowledge of physics principles related to FEA, fatigue theory, and fracture mechanics - Experience with tools like FE-SAFE, ABAQUS, and Hyperworks - Scripting proficiency in Python and other languages for process automation - Familiarity with CAE software integration and digital transformation concepts - Understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI in CAE applications.
