As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Careerflow.ai, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks for our web applications, APIs, and Chrome browser extensions. You will be based in New Delhi, with the opportunity for some remote work, contributing to a dynamic startup environment where you will lead various initiatives around software testing and test automation. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and managing the development of robust test automation frameworks, collaborating with a team of engineers on front-end and back-end testing strategies, ensuring scalability and security in our testing infrastructure, and working closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to create comprehensive test plans. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to work closely with the C-suite of the company as a quality assurance lead. From a technical standpoint, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts across various levels, integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines, conducting performance and security testing, writing comprehensive test cases for API and backend services, and ensuring data integrity, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-platform compatibility. You will also be responsible for creating detailed test plans and test cases, identifying and tracking bugs through resolution, and contributing to the continuous improvement of test coverage, code quality, and best practices in software testing. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of SDET or QA Automation experience with expertise in web application testing and test framework development, along with 2+ years of experience in testing Chrome Browser Extensions. You should also possess deep expertise in test automation for front-end and back-end, experience with Cloud Services, proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and familiarity with SaaS Analytics frameworks and logging and monitoring frameworks. In this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multi-geographic, multi-timezone remote team environment. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with prior experience working in an asynchronous collaborative setting. Your ability to work autonomously with little oversight and your dedication to ensuring test coverage, code quality, and adherence to best practices in software testing will be key to your success in this role.
