Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough medical assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to diagnose and assess the severity of diabetes.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with diabetes, which may include lifestyle modifications, medications, insulin therapy, and other interventions.Blood Sugar Management: Monitor and manage blood sugar levels to achieve target ranges and prevent complications associated with high or low blood sugar.Diabetes Education: Educate patients about diabetes, its causes, symptoms, and management strategies, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating, exercise, and medication adherence.Complications Prevention: Identify and manage diabetes-related complications, such as neuropathy, retinopathy, nephropathy, and cardiovascular risks.Medication Management: Prescribe and adjust diabetes medications, insulin, and other medications as needed, considering individual patient needs.Nutritional Guidance: Provide dietary recommendations and meal planning to help patients make healthier food choices and manage blood sugar levels.Exercise Recommendations: Advise patients on appropriate exercise routines and physical activity to improve insulin sensitivity and overall health.
