FED Design

As a Fuel Equipment Design Engineer at Babcock Power, you will play a crucial role as a subject matter expert in designing fuel systems and combustion equipment, specifically focusing on natural gas delivery systems and gas-fired low NOx combustion technology for wall fired and T fired boilers in the industrial and electric utility sectors. Your responsibilities will include leading the design of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for complete natural gas delivery systems, selecting appropriate equipment for responsible systems, collaborating with other engineering groups, providing proposal and sales support, authoring field test procedures and reports, leading service teams during fuel system commissioning, and presenting technical content at conferences. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Master's degree preferred) with at least eight years of experience in the power or related industry. Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and travel domestically (10%) and occasionally internationally.
