The role of a Merchant at this organization is crucial in facilitating communication and coordination among the various vendors. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth execution of orders from the beginning to the delivery stage, meeting quality standards, adhering to timelines, and exceeding customer expectations. As a Merchant, you will be required to coordinate with internal departments such as production, design, and quality assurance to initiate, track, and fulfill customer orders effectively. You will also be responsible for analyzing raw material costs, production expenses, and overhead expenses to accurately estimate the production costs and negotiate pricing with clients. Collaborating with production managers to develop production schedules that ensure optimal resource utilization and timely delivery of orders will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will need to plan vendor visits for fabric and other accessories as necessary. Maintaining all essential documents related to orders, including purchase invoices, shipping documents, and quality reports, is a critical aspect of the role. Managing the procurement of raw materials and auxiliary supplies to ensure timely availability and maintain optimal inventory levels will also be your responsibility. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure smooth business operations is essential. It is important to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to contribute effectively to the organization's goals. If you have 3 to 4 years of preferable experience, knowledge of Tamil and English, computer skills in MS Office and PPT, and a minimum qualification of a graduate, you are encouraged to apply for this position.
