The role of PCB Designer at 7Semi involves detailed design and layout of high-quality printed circuit boards for embedded hardware applications. By collaborating with hardware engineers, you will be responsible for translating schematic designs into manufacturable PCB layouts that adhere to industry standards and ensure signal integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations. Your role will include handling component placement, routing high-speed signals, and optimizing for power and thermal performance. Additionally, you will create fabrication drawings, Gerber files, and assembly documentation, as well as collaborate with manufacturers to ensure DFM and DFA. To be successful in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 1 year of experience in PCB layout design using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCAD, or similar software. Strong knowledge of high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, impedance control, and familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, power supplies, and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS485, etc.) are required. Understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential.
