Job Description

Job Description: As a Business Applications Designer at Capgemini, you will provide a high level of expertise in designing and ensuring the functionality of business applications. You will play a crucial role in understanding the business objectives and how best they can be supported by IT. Your responsibilities will include the conceptual design of business applications, reviewing and validating technical designs provided by suppliers, and performing quality review checks on project deliverables. Additionally, you will be responsible for estimating Rough Order of Magnitude for implementing new application functionality and specifying/recommending integration and parallel testing criteria. Your role will also involve supporting implementation activities and mentoring lower level colleagues. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptual design of business applications - Mentoring lower level colleagues - Performing impact analysis of application changes across various components - Specifying/recommending integration and parallel testing criteria - Reviewing and validating technical designs provided by suppliers - Validating suppliers estimates - Estimating Rough Order of Magnitude for new application functionality - Performing quality review checks on project deliverables - Acting as a liaison between Business and IT - Supporting users in building Business Case - Troubleshooting system environmental issues during implementation - Providing training as required Qualifications Required: - Total work experience of 7-9 years - Advanced knowledge of Cobol - Intermediate proficiency in Dynatrace, Java, .net, Mainframe tools, Windows (4-6 years), Linux (4-6 years) - Advanced knowledge of ZOS (7+ years) - Entry level proficiency in AWS (1-3 years) and Azure (1-3 years) - Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (4-6 years) About Capgemini: Capgemini is a global leader in partnering with companies to transform and manage their business through technology.
