Job Description

A Beverage Controller Auditor is responsible for overseeing and auditing all aspects of beverage operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Here are the typical roles and responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Conduct regular audits of beverage inventories to ensure accuracy. Monitor stock levels and manage the ordering process to prevent overstocking or shortages. Verify the receipt of beverage shipments against orders and invoices. Cost Control: Analyze beverage costs and implement strategies to minimize wastage and optimize profit margins. Monitor pricing, purchasing, and stock control processes to ensure cost efficiency. Review and approve cost adjustments, ensuring they are justified and properly documented. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to beverage handling and sales. Audit adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards within beverage operations. Review and update procedures to align with best practices and regulatory changes. Financial Auditing: Audit beverage sales and revenue reports to verify accuracy and prevent discrepancies. Reconcile financial statements with inventory and sales records. Investigate any discrepancies or irregularities and report findings to management. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze beverage consumption data and trends to provide insights for decision-making. Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans. Present audit results to management and suggest improvements. Training and Development: Provide training to staff on proper beverage inventory management and cost control practices. Ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to beverage control policies and procedures. Operational Audits: Conduct surprise audits of beverage storage, handling, and service areas to ensure compliance with standards. Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls related to beverage management. Loss Prevention: Identify potential areas for beverage loss or theft and implement measures to mitigate risks. Monitor and investigate any suspicious activities or transactions related to beverages. Supplier Relations: Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure they meet the company's standards for quality and pricing. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of beverage operations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve audit practices. These responsibilities ensure that beverage operations run smoothly, are cost-effective, and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
