Senior Java Developer (5+ Years Experience) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in modern Java development, cloud-native architectures, and system design, with deep expertise in backend systems, integration patterns, and document processing technologies. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications in a microservices-based environment. This role requires strong technical depth, problem-solving ability, and hands-on experience with document processing (Docx4j), XML technologies, cloud infrastructure, and payment integrations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Java 1721, Spring Boot 3.2+, and Spring 6.x. Implement complex business logic with a strong focus on threading, concurrency, and performance optimization. Architect and deploy applications using microservices and SOA patterns with REST APIs. Work extensively with XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, XProc, XHTML, JATS for document transformation and processing. Integrate and customize Docx4j for advanced DOCX generation, manipulation, and templating (critical skill). Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, container registries, and deployment automation. Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate via Kubernetes in AWS environments. Deploy and manage services on AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.) with strong understanding of native cloud services and VPC setup. Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases for data persistence and caching. Implement payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or other providers). Contribute to system design and architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Collaborate with frontend teams; familiarity with any frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) is expected. Apply Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem-Solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges. Maintain code quality through unit/integration testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. Manage source control via GitLab or GitHub, including branching strategies and repository management. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, fault-tolerant APIs and CLIs in Golang. Develop, configure, and manage Kubernetes deployments using HELM charts . Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and resilience. Implement best practices for API design, including security, performance, and versioning. Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party systems. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems for performance and reliability.
