We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Stress Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing piping stress analysis and ensuring the integrity and compliance of piping systems with applicable codes and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II (or equivalent software) based on project specifications and applicable codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, etc.). Evaluate loads on piping systems, including thermal expansion, weight, pressure, seismic, wind, and other dynamic forces. Develop pipe support specifications, select support types, and work with structural teams for support design. Review and interpret piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and P&IDs. Prepare stress analysis reports, calculations, and provide input to design and material selection. Coordinate with piping designers, process, civil/structural, and mechanical teams to ensure design compatibility. Address vendor data review related to piping and equipment connections. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during procurement and construction. Ensure all stress-related issues are resolved and closed within project timelines. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in piping stress analysis in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or similar industry. Proficient in CAESAR II and familiarity with other tools such as AutoPIPE, Rohr2, or FEPIPE is a plus. Strong understanding of international piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.). Good knowledge of piping materials, components, flexibility analysis, and layout practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Preferred: Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., SmartPlant, PDMS, E3D) for interface review. Knowledge of dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, or FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is an added advantage.
