Job Title: MEP Design Engineer Location: Base location Mumbai, will have to travel across India for project site visits if required. Qualification: Diploma / Graduate from Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Software Skills: Autocad, MS Office, HAP, MS projects Experience: 4-8 Years of experience in MEP Design Projects. Job Requirement: Worked on MEP Design projects as a Design Engineer & execute following responsibilities: Execution of project need to be completed with Quality Timely characteristics Technically This will result in customer satisfaction. Carryout MEP Design project execution & execute the services assigned as per the client requirements & timelines. Manages day to day project matters related to the service & gets the project executed with help of Supporting Draftsmans: 1. In depth knowledge on Electrical / HVAC / Fire / Plumbing designing. Understanding of sizing & various applications: a. Electrical - Distribution systems involving, Substations, Transformers, HV/LV Switchgear Panels, Lightning Arresters, Protection System, PCC, MCC, Diesel Generators etc. including Protection and relay coordination, Short circuit study and voltage drop calculations on cables, bus ducts by conventional method and also by software. Lighting requirement calculations conventional and by special software such as Dialux, etc. using AutoCAD drawings. Earthing calculations for electrical system and for lightning protection. b. HVAC Understanding of Ducting, Piping, VRV, Chillers, Split Systems, Chilled water, Cooling towers, Radiant Cooling, AHUs FCUs, Pumps, Exhaust Fans, Smoke Ventilation, basement Ventilation, Fresh Air, etc. Understanding of HVAC design softwares for HEAT load / Duct sizing. c. Fire Fire Hydrants & Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Fire Piping, Hose reels, Fire detection systems, Fire extinguishers, Gas based systems, Fire Curtains, etc. d. Plumbing Water Distribution systems, RWH system, Water Purification WTP, STP, Storage Tanks, Hydro-pneumatic Systems, Irrigation Systems, Water fixtures, etc.Beratung e. BMS / PLC IO calculations, SCADA System integration / interfacing with other services such as HVAC, Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV Cameras, Lighting, Electrical, Data, Voice and other communication Systems etc. 2. Preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, schedules, material take off & BOQ for all above. 3. Sizing of support systems for all above etc. 4. Understanding of Design standards & local codes. 5. Load analysis for structural loading or slab strengthening. 6. Prepare Head load / Electrical load list indicating critical loads, MD calculations and single line diagrams / HVAC schematics. 7. Prepare DBR & Concept design reports for MEP Systems. 8. Design and prepare circuitries and layouts for large power, small power, lighting, Ducting layout, Diffuser layouts, FAPA, Sprinklers, Plumbing etc. 9. Coordinating MEP Systems. 10. Review technical submittals and provide comments as necessary on time. 11. Preparing RCP layouts 12. Attend necessary design meetings with the client 13. Carryout necessary site visits for addressing any design / co-ordination issues. 14. Witness Testing & Commissioning of MEP systems. 15. Identify quality issues & prepare site quality reports 16. Prepare & Maintain all the records of Design & Development 17. Check all the as fitted layouts & documents. 18. Prepare final list of Sign off on Project closure reports. 19. Participating in key meetings & workshops of the project where needed. 20. Report to the higher management on regular basis on project status & updates. 21. Keep Project on track with timely observations & Documentations. 22. Interact with the client / client representative for project design aspects on day to day basis. 23. Develop Healthy professional relationships with other project team members such as Architects, PMCs MEP Designers, Cost Consultants, Contractors. 24. Help in developing & documenting case studies for the project.

This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, overseeing the execution and maintenance of MEP systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and managing the billing verification process. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Oversee and lead Electrical, ELV, HVAC, PHE, FPS, and FAPA systems. Provide direction and support to the project execution team. Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, project execution team, and planning team for all MEP services. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders. Execution & Maintenance: Manage the installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations. Electrical Systems: Supervise high and low-level tray and raceway installations, conduit wiring, cable laying, RMU, transformers, HT and LT panels, distribution boards, lightning protection systems, and solar system installations. HVAC Systems: Oversee the installation and maintenance of VRV/VRF systems, air-cooled and water-cooled systems, ducting, and insulation. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with client requirements. Coordinate with the design team to ensure HVAC systems meet project specifications. PHE Systems: Manage water supply and drainage systems, including STP, WTP, and ETP. Fire Protection Systems (FPS): Supervise the installation and maintenance of sprinkler and hydrant systems. Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) Systems: Oversee the installation and maintenance of CCTV, access control systems (ACS), addressable fire alarm systems, and public address systems. Quality Assurance: Verify the supply and installation of all subcontractor work to meet quality and safety standards. Project Reviews: Attend project review meetings, write reports, and present to managers and clients. Resource Coordination: Ensure the availability of materials at the site for execution and maintain planned schedules to achieve targets on time. The candidate must be able to organize the necessary labor resources for various trades on the project's payroll, using the available resources established during their tenure on the project. Inspection and Certification: Review and certify material inspection records according to approved specifications. Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to method statements, installation checklists, and testing records. Billing Verification Process: Invoice Review: Carefully review all invoices submitted by subcontractors to ensure accuracy and completeness. Document Verification: Ensure all supporting documents, such as delivery receipts, work completion certificates, and inspection reports, are attached and meet the required standards. Compliance Check: Confirm that all billed items comply with contract terms, approved budgets, and project specifications. Cross-Referencing: Cross-reference invoices with the actual work completed on-site, project timelines, and progress reports to ensure consistency and prevent discrepancies. Approval Workflow: Follow the established approval workflow for billing, obtaining necessary approvals from project managers, finance teams, and other relevant stakeholders. Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies or disputes with subcontractors regarding billing amounts or documentation. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all billing-related documents for future reference and audit purposes. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on the billing status to project stakeholders, including any issues or delays encountered in the verification process.
