As a Clerk VI at the Foulk Road location, your primary responsibility will be to register and schedule patients efficiently and accurately. You will be required to obtain identity, insurance, and/or workers" compensation information from patients. Additionally, answering and routing calls in a high imaging department and/or office will be part of your daily tasks. You will be responsible for checking and obtaining approval for patient safety-related items such as MRI safety and pregnancy. It will also be necessary for you to request and obtain medical records in preparation for the patients" arrival. Uploading outside studies for comparison by the radiologist and burning CDs or printing patients" medical imaging records will be part of your duties. As a Clerk VI, you will need to connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers. You will also handle tasks such as mailing and/or faxing reports to physician offices and documenting communication of critical results when necessary. Responding to requests for urgent or emergency cases and working with site leaders and/or senior technologists will be crucial aspects of your role. Operating computer systems and office equipment safely, interacting for the solution of routine problems to achieve customer satisfaction, and maintaining a courteous and professional manner while interacting with patients, family members, physicians, and staff are essential requirements for this position. Your commitment to performing assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices, and reporting any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations promptly will contribute to maintaining a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors. Additionally, you may be required to perform other related duties as necessary. To qualify for this position, you should be a high school graduate or equivalent with at least two years of related medical office experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute.
