About the role: The Enablement team empowers our internal teams - Brokers, BizOps, Underwriting, and Customer Experience by building automated, self-service solutions that streamline workflows from submission creation to policy generation. The team also maintains the source of truth (SOT) for all policy data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. A day in the life: Set the daily and long-term priorities and direction for your team. Oversee project logistics and resource allocation, including long-term resource planning. Review and evaluate technical architecture from a birds-eye view to proactively identify areas of improvement in terms of long-term stability, scalability, and extensibility - implementing solutions that have platform-wide impact. Provide mentoring/technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to consistently raising the bar for engineering best practices such as coding standards, writing well-tested, extensible and reusable codebase/libraries. Conceptualise, institutionalize and provide visibility into the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to the senior engineering and leadership teams. If you feel we re describing you, it was meant to be Overall 9+ years of experience, with 2+ years in people management. Expertise in architecting and scaling distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Strong knowledge of backend technologies (Python, Java, or Golang) and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a business-first mindset.
