As the Head of R&D Electronics at Epsilon Electronic Equipment and Components Pvt. Ltd., located in Hyderabad, India, you will play a crucial role in leading the Research & Development function of a reputed electronics manufacturing company specializing in signaling and telecommunication equipment for Indian Railways. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee the design, development, and production of complex electronic products and manage a team of 5 engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable, and standards-compliant output. Epsilon has established itself as a highly respected brand in Indian Railways, known for introducing innovative products consistently. In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation, maintaining momentum, and delivering new electronic equipment that adds value to both customers and the business. Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing a multidisciplinary R&D team across electronics, embedded systems, and communication technologies, guiding PCB design, embedded firmware, and system integration, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and establishing robust testing and documentation processes. To excel in this role, you should possess a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in electronic product design, development, and production. You must have a proven track record of successfully designing and developing electronic products, preferably in signaling, telecom, or industrial control systems. Technical expertise in areas such as PCB Design, Embedded Systems & Firmware, Communication Electronics, Wired/Wireless Protocols, Optical Fibre Cable systems, Power Electronics, and compliance with relevant standards is essential. Additionally, strong leadership, effective communication, project management skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are key soft skills required for this role. Experience in Indian Railways or infrastructure projects, familiarity with DFM, reliability engineering, IoT, cloud integration, EMS processes, and quality systems are preferred skills that will be advantageous in this position.
