Role - Senior Infrastructure Engineer Shift - Rotational Job Description - The ideal candidate should be someone who thrives on delivering high quality operational output, new experiences, and technical challenges. As a “Senior Infrastructure Engineer” working in Morningstar’s IT infrastructure team, you will be involved in the support of LAN, WAN and Datacenter Networks for Morningstar’s growing IT infrastructure that currently covers over 33 offices and 6 Datacenter’s worldwide. You will also be involved in the transition of second line support processes and functions to the new team in Mumbai. Interested candidates should have a proven track record of supporting significant Network Infrastructures. The successful candidate for this role should have at least 6-8 years’ experience in an IT support role and should have experience and knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewall and AWS/Azure Cloud Networking. A CCNP or higher-level certification is required, and experience of Cisco Wireless & ISE, Zscaler ZIA & ZPA, Cisco Umbrella and Palo Alto Firewall and DNAC technology would be advantageous. Candidates should have excellent English, strong communication skills and a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication or computer science with strong academic record. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant IT industry technology certifications. (CCNP Data Center, CCIE R&S/Data Center & ITIL v4) Candidate should be willing to work in 24X7 rotational shifts. Day to Day responsibilities: Monitor, Support and Administration of Morningstar’s Global WAN, Wired and Wireless LAN of Corporate Offices and Datacenter networks Routine review and implementation of Firewall ACL changes Routine review and implementation of URL filtering requests using Cisco Umbrella and Zscaler ZIA Cloud based solutions. Routine review and implementation of Cisco ACI requests Routine review and implementation of NACL, SG and AWS firewall requests Networking task related to Azure and AWS cloud networking Work with SD-WAN provider for AWS direct-connect and Azure Express-Route connectivity issues Managing and maintaining the operational integrity of our systems Prepare, review, and maintain standard operating procedure document Troubleshoot issues related to WAN optimization and its policy implementation Routine maintenance of network devices – Router, Switches and Firewalls by following device lifecycle management Planning of major task related to network changes like routing, firmware upgrades etc. Peer review change and SOP’s prepared by infrastructure engineers Responding to escalations related to incidents and alerts escalated by Morningstar’s NOC or automated alerting Follow change, problem, and incident management process Analyze and act on WAN and Internet link bandwidth utilization reports Planning of routine WAN and internet link failover testing Troubleshoot Cisco ISE and Wireless related issues and escalate to third line engineers if required Ensure SLA for requests & Incident are met Co-ordination and followup with Cisco TAC on issues related to Cisco products Asist with the transition of Knowledge and support processes to the infrastructure engineers Technical Skills and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science or Information Technology or any equivalent field with strong academic credentials is required. At least 6-8 years of experience in a networking focused second line support role Good English communication and presentation skills (written & verbal). An ability to demonstrate a focus on attention to detail and high-quality results. Knowledge of Jira ticketing system Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and concepts. Hands-on experience on Cisco ACI Hands-on experience on AWS Firewall, NACL, SG and Direct-connect. Good Understanding on Azure Express Route, vWAN, firewall, routing Hands on Palo Alto firewall Knowledge on monitoring and troubleshooting of Cisco Wireless technologies. Knowledge on Cisco Identify Service Engine (ISE) Knowledge on Network Management tools like Entuity Knowledge on WAN optimizers like Riverbed Knowledge on URL filtering and monitoring of Cisco Umbrella environment Hands on experience on Cisco Data center switches, routers and firewalls and knowledge on routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF and BGP Strong knowledge & good experience on Site-2-Site VPN, Remote VPN, Data Protection, URL filtering, NAT, QOS, IPSEC Basic knowledge on SD-WAN & Cisco DNAC Cisco CCNP Data Center or higher-level certification Advantageous: ITIL Foundation certification Cisco DNAC and ACI Zscaler ZIA and ZPA CCNP Data Center or CCIE R&S/Data Center Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of all DNS record types and connectivity across hybrid environments, with demonstrated hands-on experience in Infoblox, BlueCat, and other leading DDI platforms. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Azure AD and on-premises Active Directory environments. Administer and optimize DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services across hybrid infrastructures. Configure and troubleshoot all DNS record types (A, AAAA, PTR, CNAME, NS, MX, SRV, TXT, SOA, Glue Records, etc.). Integrate and manage enterprise DDI platforms such as Infoblox, BlueCat, or equivalent. Implement and maintain IP address management policies and structure. Monitor DNS/DHCP health and performance across multi-site environments. Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of AD/DNS/DHCP services. Participate in root cause analysis and develop documentation for incident resolution and processes. Collaborate with security teams to implement DNS security practices such as DNSSEC and DNS filtering. Design and implement forward/reverse DNS zones and replication strategies. Participate in migrations, integrations, and upgrades of directory and DDI services. Develop scripts and automation solutions for DNS/IPAM management (PowerShell preferred).
