As the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the uninterrupted availability of all Ancillary Instrumentation and Electrical services for the unit. You will be implementing systems in your areas of operation to reduce operating costs and achieve improved standards of quality and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). You should hold a B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering and have a minimum of 5-15 years of experience in a similar profile, preferably in the Process Industry, Petrochemical, Sugar, or Refinery sectors, focusing on maintenance and operation of varied utilities and process infrastructure. Your role will involve ensuring the availability of all instrumentation and Electrical work for Process and Utility areas, maintaining high standards of quality. You will oversee the smooth operation of critical heavy Engineering machinery such as High-Pressure Boiler, Turbine, and ensure the proper functioning of PLC/SCADA, automation systems, and field instrumentation like Pressure Transmitter, Temp Transmitter, and Control Valves. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining UPS, CCTV cameras, VFDs, and other instrumentation assets in good condition. It will be your duty to ensure that the services equipment is operated and maintained in line with OEM recommendations and industry best practices, while also identifying and implementing energy conservation programs and EHS initiatives within your areas of responsibility. Your knowledge and skill requirements include in-depth understanding of instrumentation systems, electrical systems, maintenance practices, EHS regulations, project management, and analytical & troubleshooting skills. You should possess managerial competencies such as negotiation skills, resource management, problem-solving skills, and team building capabilities. Your success will be measured by the reduction in the cost of service generation, successful introduction of upgrades and new technologies, compliance with EHS guidelines, and service orientation. Additionally, you will be expected to execute brown field/green field projects within the allocated time and budget.
