Job Description

Job Title: Communication / English Faculty

Department: English / Humanities

Job Summary:

The Communication/English Faculty will be responsible for teaching and enhancing students' proficiency in English language and communication skills, focusing on developing effective written, verbal, and presentation abilities. The role involves designing and delivering academic content, conducting assessments, mentoring students, and contributing to the overall academic development of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Academic Delivery:
  • Deliver lectures and conduct interactive sessions on English language, communication skills, technical writing, business communication, and professional communication.
  • Design course plans, lesson plans, and academic materials aligned with the curriculum.
  • Conduct workshops on presentation skills, group discussions, report writing, and interpersonal communication.
  • Assessment & Evaluation:
  • Prepare and conduct assignments, tests, quizzes, and exams to evaluate students’ progress.
  • Provide timely feedback and guidance to help students improve their language and communication skills.
  • Student Mentoring & Support:
  • Provide academic and career guidance to students.
  • Assist students in developing their communication and language competencies for academic and professional success.
  • Academic Development:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of English Language Teaching and Communication.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and improvement of teaching methodologies.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain proper records of lectures, attendance, assessments, and student performance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic planning and development activities.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities:
  • Organize and participate in communication skill development activities like debates, seminars, writing competitions, and language clubs.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Master’s Degree in English, Communication, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience in an academic institution is preferred.
  • Strong command over written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
