As a Steelwork Drawing Specialist, your main responsibility will be to provide steelwork drawings based on the conceptual design provided by the designer. This includes creating detailed shop floor and BOM drawings for mounts, head frames, lattice towers, and monopole extensions. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing strengthening solutions and preparation of strengthening drawings for lattice towers and monopoles. Your role will also involve detailing connections for various structures such as roof top poles and lattice towers, as well as clarifying any queries raised by fabricators. It is essential for you to have telecom knowledge, particularly in antennas, RRUs, TMAs, BTS, EME issues, and 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. In a fast-paced multi-location, multi-client environment, you will need to demonstrate your project experience by reading and interpreting architectural and structural building plans. You will be required to create sets of shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel items, showing the required dimensions, welds, holes, and locations. Proficiency in using and understanding AutoCAD is crucial for this role, including basic concepts, drawing setup, and creation. You should also be able to provide strengthening drawings, perform slope calculations for towers, and analyze site conditions based on as-builts and reference photos. One of your key responsibilities will be to review and check drawing accuracy, as well as approved shop and fabrication drawings.
