As a Textile Designer (Print) at Padma Sarees, you will play a vital role in preserving and promoting the rich tradition of handloom textiles by crafting exquisite handwoven sarees that seamlessly blend heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design aesthetics. Your passion for traditional handloom techniques, eye for design, and ability to create innovative patterns while honoring the brand's legacy will be key in this Mumbai-based role. Your responsibilities will include developing original textile designs, ranging from prints to patterns, for various fabric types and apparel lines. You will conduct in-depth trend and market research to draw inspiration for design concepts and ensure their relevance in the market. Creating mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts to visually communicate the brand's aesthetic and vision will be crucial, along with collaborating closely with production teams to ensure design feasibility and provide technical specifications for the manufacturing process. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools will be essential for your success in this role. You will actively participate in the product sampling process, offering feedback on material selections and ensuring that the final product aligns with design specifications. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. With 2-3 years of experience in textile or apparel design, supported by a robust portfolio showcasing your print design skills, you will be well-equipped to meet the demands of this role. A strong understanding of color theory, fabric textures, and printing techniques, combined with creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, will set you apart. Your ability to adapt design ideas to production and market needs, coupled with excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in collaboration with production teams, will be critical. While proficiency in 3D design tools or CAD software for textiles is a plus, knowledge of sustainable fabric sourcing and eco-friendly textile practices will be advantageous in enhancing your contribution to Padma Sarees.,
