Title and Summary Platform Architect IIOverview Infrastructure Design Services is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for the analysis and design of the infrastructure framework to fit the application, platform or system needs in-line with MasterCard's operational standards and principles. Infrastructure Design Services is engaged from the beginning of the analysis and design phase to work with the application team(s) and other critical teams within Mastercard to ensure that the completed infrastructure and application architecture aligns with MasterCards security, scalability and availability standards. Infrastructure Design Services' primary deliverable is the TAD (Technical Architecture Document) which details the infrastructure design for the application, platform or system. This job requires experience in internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security and other internet technologies. This job actively performs designing and delivering internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service and backbone requirements. Role Generating requirements, together with other architects, engineers, application team and user, to determine that all of the high level requirements have been met. Generating products such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep the user, architects and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the application, system or platform to be provided as it is evolving. Ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete. Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally. Research and evaluate new technology for possible deployment in MasterCards internet infrastructure. Take accountability for ongoing regional projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. Implement, manage and support internet infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices. Perform problem diagnosis; performance tuning; capacity planning and configuration management for MasterCard internet components. Assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems. Knowledge of web app architecture, Network designs, application security, middleware, three tier architecture, documentation of application flows, have a general understanding of how load balancing works, How to use DNS, basic understanding of middleware components are, how they work etc. Having knowledge of Infrastructure Design, SSLOne Way , Two Way SSL , BIG IP F5's, Venafi-Digital certificates , ISAM/SiteMinder (Authentication and Authorization technologies ) Design high availability strategies and implement automation to ensure service availability. Take initiatives and projects and have accountability for ongoing regional projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. Support, troubleshoot web related issues & develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices and with a high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market. Thorough knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design with web administration background. Must be high-energy, proactive, detail-oriented and able to function under pressure in an independent environment. In this position this person will work within the IP Operations Tier 2 team o perating and maintaining a wide array of network elements both virtual and non-virtual. Those elements consist of Juniper MX960 s, F5 BigIP LTM/GTM, Cisco IOS/NXOS, HP6125/Flex10 and Nokia VMTR s. This person will in a BAU role take SMOPs provided by engineering teams, analyze them for accuracy and implement within the network ensuring no adverse impact to existing services. This person works in a break fix role and will run point on any trouble reported either via a ticketing system or otherwise. They will analyze the trouble and formulate a course of actions to resolve the trouble mitigating or preventing the impact. This person will work with ATS Tier 3 support, Tech Arch, and the vendors to implement patching and security tooling, new implementations and design changes to existing network designs on platforms such as Juniper MX960 and F5 LTM in the EPC Core Network within AT&T Mobility Service Operations. The role is in a 24x7 environment supporting all owned elements within the NTC comprising the EPC. The successful candidate for this position should have 3+ years experience operating and maintaining JUNOS, Cisco IOS/NXOS, F5 BigIP. Deep understanding of layer 1-7 technologies. Example: STP, RSTP, OSPF, BGP (emphasis placed on understanding community values and tagging), MPLS, IPSEC, layer 4-7 load-balancing. 2+ years of experience implementing and/or managing FirstNet requirements, or other US Government security requirements. 2+ years experience as an admin on Linux operating systems. Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical and compliance issues Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on goals Additional useful experience includes: 2+ years of experience implementing ASPR requirements Experience in a Cloud environment (AT&T AIC or Network Cloud, Azure, etc.) Experience using the following tools is desired: Ansible AOTS-Mobility Terminal Emulator with multiple machine implementation Ped-WO (IWOS) AOTS-Change Mgmt AT&T CSO Tools used for ASPR compliance (SACT, Sensage, MUAM, allmid, etc.) Required Qualifications - 3+ years experience Linux/Unix Skills (RedHat and Ubuntu) Strong troubleshooting skills Knowledge of mobility architectures Desired Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Math, Science, Engineering or equivilent related network experience Knowledge of Network Planning, Engineering, Construction and Mobility architectures Knowledge of cloud applications/networks, including Openstack, VMWare, Azure and Kubernetes Scripting knowledge such as Ansible and Python Certifications desired but not necessary (CCNA, CCNP, JCNIA, JCNIP) Excellent working knowledege of Cisco IOS, NX0S, Junos, F5 BIGIP(LTM/GTM) and F5VvE BIGIP.
