Role & responsibilities :- In a hotel, a Food and Beverage (F&B) Steward primarily focuses on ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining areas, including setting up tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and clearing tables . They also contribute to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the dining area and assist with inventory management. Key Responsibilities: Setting Up and Clearing Tables: Preparing tables with appropriate tableware, linens, and condiments before guests arrive, and clearing tables after guests have finished their meals. Serving Food and Beverages: Taking orders from guests, serving food and beverages, and ensuring the correct items are delivered to the right tables. Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Keeping the dining area clean, tidy, and free of clutter, ensuring that tables are wiped down and sanitized, and that all areas are kept in good condition. Handling Customer Inquiries and Complaints: Assisting guests with questions about the menu, answering their inquiries, and resolving minor issues or complaints. Assisting with Inventory: Helping to manage and track supplies, such as tableware, linens, and food items, to ensure adequate stock levels. Supporting Servers: Assisting servers with various tasks, such as delivering food and beverages, clearing tables, and handling customer requests. Upholding Standards: Following established hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that service is efficient, courteous, and consistent with the hotel's standards.
