Role & responsibilities & Preferred candidate profile TERMS OF REFERENCE IT MANAGER 1. INTRODUCTION Post: IT Manager Post Type: Permanent, full-time (with 3-month probation period) Department: IT Department 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The IT Manager will report to the Director, Corporate Affairs and will work closely with the Management Team of EyeCare to ensure seamless IT operations and strategic alignment with organizational goals. 3. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The IT Manager will be responsible for leading the IT department, ensuring the maintenance, security, and optimization of computer systems, networks, and related technologies. The role involves strategic planning, technical oversight, and management of IT initiatives to support business operations effectively. 4. SCOPE OF WORK Oversee and manage the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems. Lead IT strategy development aligned with business objectives. Ensure data security, compliance, and cybersecurity measures are in place. Supervise IT support services, troubleshooting, and technical assistance. Monitor and optimize hardware and software performance across the organization. Manage the deployment and maintenance of IT systems and applications. Develop IT policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee procurement and budgeting for IT-related assets and services. Lead training and support initiatives to ensure staff proficiency with IT systems. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and IT governance frameworks. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions. Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Analyze IT trends and provide recommendations for technology improvements. Ensure the confidentiality and security of company data and IT resources. Manage vendor relationships and service agreements related to IT. Perform other duties as assigned within the work scope. Adopt and implement IT standards, including: ISO 27001 for Information Security Management ITIL framework for IT Service Management Best practices in cloud security and disaster recovery 5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of work experience in IT management, including leadership experience. 5 years work experience in healthcare or an eye hospital setting is preferred. 6. DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strategic IT Leadership: Ability to develop and execute IT strategies. Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Strong understanding of IT security measures. Infrastructure Management: Expertise in managing networks, servers, and IT systems. Cloud Computing & Virtualization: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud services. Microsoft 365 Setup & Administration: Proficiency in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications, including email, collaboration tools, and security protocols. Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud-based solutions, migration strategies, and security best practices for efficient system performance. Domain Setup & Management: Strong knowledge in configuring domain controllers, ensuring network stability, and implementing security measures for domain-related tasks. ITIL Standard Knowledge: Familiarity with IT Service Management principles, incident management, and process optimization aligned with ITIL frameworks to enhance operational efficiency. 7. INTRODUCTION Post: Registered Nurse Post Type: Permanent, full-time (with 3-month probation period) Department: Medical Services Department Location: EyeCare Hospital, Mal 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Registered Nurse will report to the Medical Services Manager and is expected to work closely with ophthalmologists, Ophthalmic assistants, nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals at EyeCare Hospital. 3. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, addressing their medical, physical, and emotional needs. The role involves assessing patient conditions, planning and implementing care, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment delivery. 4. SCOPE OF WORK Assessing patients eye health and providing preoperative, postoperative, and general care. Administering medications, eye drops, and other treatments as prescribed by ophthalmologists in prior to surgery and procedures. Monitoring patients’ conditions, including vital signs and visual acuity, and documenting changes accurately. Assisting ophthalmologists during eye procedures and surgeries by ensuring a sterile environment and providing necessary tools. Performing blood withdrawal as part of routine preoperative checkups. Capable of performing blood withdrawal, preoperative procedures, and assisting in the operating theatre. Providing comfort and emotional support to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Educating patients and their families on eye care, surgical procedures, postoperative instructions, and preventive measures for common eye conditions (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts). Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety. Monitoring for complications and promptly reporting issues to the medical team. Collaborating with ophthalmologists, nursing assistants, and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Assisting in diagnostic tests, such as eye pressure measurements and visual assessments. Sharing the workload of colleagues and other staff as needed. Performing any other relevant tasks assigned by the Employer within the scope of work. Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Any other duties assigned by the Employer within the work scope. 5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or relevant field. Minimum 2 years of work experience in Hospital, or a relevant field after completion of the Degree. Demonstrated competency in performing blood withdrawal, preoperative procedures, and assisting in the operating theatre. Experience in the Eye Hospital or surgical settings will be an added advantage. Applicants must possess a valid registration and good standing certificate from the Nursing Council in their home country. A minimum IELTS score of 5.5 is required for Maldives Nursing Council registration. 6. DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Fluency in written and spoken English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Demonstrates kindness, empathy, and understanding in addressing patients’ needs and concerns. Ability to accurately follow care plans and provide detailed documentation of patient information. INTRODUCTION Post: Front Desk Coordinator Post Type: Permanent, full-time (with 3-month probation period) Department: Medical Services Department 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Front Desk Coordinator will report to the Manager, Medical Services and is expected to work closely with the Health Professionals of EyeCare. 3. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the Hospital. This role is responsible for welcoming the patients, issuing memos, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation. 4. SCOPE OF WORK Greet patients and visitors with a professional and courteous demeanor. Check-in patients and verify their personal information and insurance details. Provide patients with information on services, procedures, and policies. Maintain and update patient records and files in the internal system and issue memos. Prepare and reconcile billing, submissions, and other documentation. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care. Assist with patient flow and manage the waiting list. Adhere to healthcare regulations and standards. Safeguard patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Work closely with Doctors and other Hospital staffs to optimize patient visits. Any other tasks assigned by Employer within the work scope. 5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Diploma in Hospital Management or Business Administration, or any other relevant field. Minimum 1 year of work experience in Hospital Management or Business Administration, or a relevant field after completion of the Diploma. OR Minimum 3 A’ Level passes, including English, Dhivehi and Mathematics Experience in medical related field will be an added advantage. 6. DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Fluency in written and spoken Dhivehi and English language. Proficiency in managing billing processes, handling payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Demonstrates kindness and understanding in dealing with patients’ needs and concerns. Ability to accurately follow care plans and provide detailed documentation of patient information.
