Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js or similar frameworks) Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and scalable systems Work with AWS services such as EC2, Route 53, RDS, and S3 Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues effectively Leverage AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, CodeWhisperer) to enhance coding speed and reduce repetitive tasks Participate in code reviews, peer learning, and continuous improvement initiatives Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI-assisted development and backend architecture trends Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in backend development Strong proficiency in Node.js and backend frameworks like Express.js Good experience with cloud platforms , preferably AWS Familiarity with database systems like MongoDB, MySQL , or PostgreSQL Understanding of RESTful APIs , microservices , and event-driven architectures Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows Experience using or willingness to adopt Gen AI tools to boost productivity and automate routine development tasks Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Good to Have: Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Exposure to React / Next.js / Vue.js is a bonus Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Docker , or Kubernetes Interest or experience in AI/ML integrations within backend systems is an advantage Location: Chennai (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time
