Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities in Air Freight or Ocean Freight verticals. Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers while driving revenue and profitability. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations. Negotiate contracts and close deals aligned with company pricing and margin targets. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify potential growth areas. Collaborate with internal teams (operations, pricing, customer service) to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence. Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs. Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. Minimum 7 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding (Air or Ocean Freight). Strong network within the logistics and shipping industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite. Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred: Experience handling large multinational or key accounts. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities for FTL services in the Chennai and South India market. Build a strong pipeline of prospects through market research, networking, cold calls, and client visits. Develop customized proposals, quotations, and presentations for potential clients. Negotiate rates, service terms, and contracts with clients. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships. Act as a single point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction. Resolve client issues promptly in coordination with the operations and customer service teams. Conduct periodic client reviews to evaluate satisfaction and explore upselling opportunities. Market Intelligence & Strategy Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies. Provide regular feedback to management on pricing, service offerings, and market developments. Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and regional growth strategies. Internal Collaboration Work closely with the operations, fleet management, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of services. Share customer insights with internal teams to improve service offerings. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for management review. Qualifications & Experience Graduate in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). 58 years of experience in sales within logistics/transportation (at least 3 years in FTL segment). Strong network of clients in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce industries. Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
