Job description Role & responsibilities Design and validate internal (transport) and external packaging systems for gears, shafts, and related drivetrain components. Collaborate with product design, logistics, and quality teams to ensure packaging meets technical and regulatory requirements. Develop internal handling and transportation devices and equipment that optimize cost, prevent quality issues Develop returnable and expendable packaging solutions based on part geometry, weight, and fragility. Optimize transport and packaging for space utilization, ergonomics, and sustainability. Inventoried current solutions and define best practices by product group within the current plants Create and maintain packaging documentation, including CAD drawings, BOMs, and work instructions. Interface with suppliers and 3PLs to source materials and manage packaging inventory. Interface with supplier for part packaging development. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce handling and quality issues due to improper packing and handling equipment's, packaging costs and environmental impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, logistics, quality) across multiple location globally to support packaging development for process & finish product.
