You are a skilled Routing and Switching Engineer with expertise in networking principles and extensive experience in ServiceNow change management and monitoring tools. Your role involves maintaining network infrastructure to ensure the seamless operation of the organization's networks. Your responsibilities include managing operations of routing and switching network components to ensure high availability and performance. You will monitor network performance, security, and compliance metrics to ensure adherence to organizational policies and industry standards. Utilizing ServiceNow for change management processes is essential to ensure effective implementation and documentation of network changes. Documenting network configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference is also part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and applications is required. Implementing and enforcing network security policies and procedures to protect against cybersecurity threats is crucial. Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in networking and security to drive innovation and continuous improvement is also expected. Performing network troubleshooting to resolve connectivity issues and ensure network performance is part of your duties. Using monitoring tools to oversee network health and quickly address any arising issues is essential. Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar role is necessary. A strong understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols is required. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching devices is essential. Experience with ServiceNow for change management processes is a must. Proficiency in using monitoring tools to oversee network performance and health is also necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is required. Industry certifications such as CCNA or other relevant certifications are mandatory for this role.
