ROLE SUMMARY

The Substation Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a 220 KV substation, including transformers, HT panels, distribution panels, CCTV, FAS, AC systems, solar systems, DG sets, SCADA, BMS, and EMS. The role involves ensuring 100% facility maintenance, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, and leading continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives. The manager ensures compliance with safety protocols and legal requirements, maintains accurate records and reports, and collaborates with service providers and internal teams. Proficiency in MES/SAP systems and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Major and Key Job Responsibilities / Activities responsible for

Technical /Functional

1. Ensure Operation & Maintenance and troubleshooting & repair of substation of 220 KV including transformer, HT panel, Distribution panel, CCTV,FAS,AC, Solar System, DG set, SCADA, BMS, EMS etc.

2. Execute maintenance operation system for the robust implementation to deliver target KPI.

3. Ensure 100 % facility and maintenance as per plant requirement.

4. In-depth Knowledge in substation operation and maintenance and basic knowledge of ELV system,BMS and HVAC system.

5. Responsible for overall plant maintenance, utilities, facilities to reduce time and 100 % availability.

6. Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), analysis and Corrective actions.

7. Ensure all the legal and statutory requirement fulfil for respective area.

8. Maintain spare as per requirement and follow safety practices (LOTO, TBT, HIRA& EIA, Work permit) during maintenance work.

9. Work in celebration with O&M team and maintain record as per requirement.

10. Daily and monthly MIS data collection and report preparation as per requirement.

11. Implementing Continuous Improvement ideas and cost saving projects.

12. In-House Repair of electrical and electronics spares.

13. ShiftWise allocation of work and ensure timely completion during shifts and proper handover to next shift.

14. Develop and maintain utility related documents as per standard requirement (IS/TS/IMS) and controlling and providing accurate data reporting.

15. Work closely with service provider, purchaser, process and project team.

Role Specific Qualification / Certification Requirement

Mandatory Desired: Diploma in (Electrical) Must have electrical supervisor certificate from Gujrat Government /Central Government.
