Job Title: Electrical Engineer Electromechanical Engineering (PSP) Designation: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Location: Noida Department: Electromechanical Engineering Pumped Storage Projects (PSP) Role Overview: An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in supporting the design, engineering, tendering, and execution coordination of electrical systems for Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) from concept to commissioning. As a team member of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for working on Generator, Electrical-BOP system, Substation /Pothead yard design, auxiliaries, Transmission line and SCADA/control system integration, while interfacing with consultants, OEMs, site teams, and internal departments. Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering: Responsible for preparation and review of electrical design documents such as Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement (GA) drawings, interconnection schemes, and cable routing layouts. This includes the design and sizing of EHV substations (AIS/GIS), pothead yards, E-BOP equipment's, Generators, station auxiliary systems (AC/DC panels, battery banks, UPS), and earthing and lightning protection systems. PFR, DPR Preparation & Technical Documentation: Provide technical inputs for Pre-Feasibility report (PFR), Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) including BOQs, design basis reports, electrical layout schemes, and cost estimates. Ensure all documentation complies with CEA guidelines, CERC norms, and applicable IS, IEC, and IEEE standards. Tendering & Vendor Evaluation: Prepare and review technical specifications, scope of work, and datasheets for electrical equipment. Review of General Technical Particulars (GTPs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), and FAT/SAT procedures. Execution & Commissioning Support: Provide back-end support to the execution team during construction and commissioning by reviewing drawings, resolving field queries, and participating in FATs, SATs, inspection activities and site visit. Assist in ensuring timely delivery and installation of electrical systems. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with Turbine, civil, hydro-mechanical, instrumentation, and SCADA teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Interface with external stakeholders including consultants, OEMs, CTU / STU, SLDC/RLDC, and statutory bodies to facilitate engineering approvals and compliance. Quality Assurance: Ensure all engineering deliverables and vendor documents meet the defined technical standards, quality benchmarks, and contract specifications. Participate in design reviews, vendor audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering quality. EHS Compliance: Incorporate Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) considerations into design and equipment specifications. Ensure that engineering activities and technical recommendations adhere to project-level EHS policies and contribute to safe construction and operation of the plant. Qualifications & Skills: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory) and M.Tech in Electrical / Power Engineering (preferred) Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience working on hydro electric / pumped storage projects with specialization in electrical system design, engineering, execution etc. Experience should include hands-on work in the design, review, construction & commissioning of Generators, BOP electrical systems and EHV substations (AIS/GIS) / pothead yards, along with preparation and vetting of technical specifications, BOQs, and DPR inputs. Familiar with CEA, IS, IEC, IEEE standard Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory Power evacuation and protection systems Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and Team coordination Proactive and detail-oriented Interested candidate may share your resumes on pushkar.singh@avaada.com
