The following are the details for your reference. Position- Manager- Legal Reporting into - Head - Legal & Compliance Location - Chennai Salary - CTC 9 LPA Education - B.A. BL (Including Honor's) / LL.B / LL.M Job Description - Draft legal notices by interpreting agreements, understanding roles and responsibilities of parties, identifying breaches/disputes, and gathering inputs from relevant teams. - Review and respond to legal notices served on the Company after collecting requisite information from stakeholders. - Liaise and coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders for litigation handling, including filings and hearings, till disposal and follow-up actions. - Handle matters under Sec 138 NI Act, Sec 9 Arbitration, SARFAESI, and related post-default recovery proceedings. - Oversee warrant execution process. - Prepare and review secured loan documentation (pledge, mortgage, hypothecation) and related activities. - Liaise with enforcement authorities and draft responses to statutory notices. - Maintain litigation tracker for periodic submission to stakeholders. - Draft, review, and negotiate agreements/contracts based on business requirements and advise on legal risks. - Ensure execution and stamping of agreements as per state-specific requirements. Skills - Strong knowledge of NBFC lending laws, SARFAESI, Arbitration, and recovery proceedings. - Expertise in court processes, including warrant execution. - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to handle multiple legal matters under tight deadlines. - Proficiency in legal research tools and state government portals. - Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
