We are looking for an Analyst SAP Basis Services to join our IT Innovation Campus at the Bangalore location. The position will be responsible for highly competent analysts to provide support in the implementation and ongoing operation of hosted SAP services for internal customers to the Global Data Center with a particular focus on SAP S/4 HANA. Your Responsibilities: Administer and maintain a mission-critical environment consisting of: - SAP NetWeaver for S/4 HANA - SAP Solution Manager - Fiori Front-end - HANA database platform - Linux (RedHat, Oracle Linux) - High availability systems spanning redundant data centers Work with application/project teams and 3rd party partners to implement new IT infrastructure and services to meet existing and growing needs of the business. Monitor SAP-related data center systems in terms of operation, capacity, and performance. Complete investigations into inefficiencies and produce root cause analysis and improvement recommendations, utilizing Avantra / Xandria and other tools. Maintain and enhance backup processes as well as clear disaster recovery procedures. Plan, test, and implement patches and SAP software updates including the Release upgrades, HANA database, and Kernel upgrades. Optimize patch management and procedures. Plan and Perform the System copies for SAP NetWeaver and S/4 HANA systems using location and redirect restores. Participate in call rotation/duties and weekend work during the Data Center maintenances. Analyze the EWA reports and provide recommendations to different business stakeholders. What You'll Bring: Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent. Experience working as an SAP Basis administrator includes: - Performing SAP system health checks. (Experience with AVANTRA/Xandria will be an advantage) - HANA DB administration - BW/PI system Administration - Solution Manager administration and configuration - Client administration such as Client copies & client export/import, etc., Experience or working knowledge in ITIL processes and standards is an added advantage though not essential. Knowledge of SAP Cloud concepts would be considered an advantage. Knowledge of SAP Webdispatcher for Fiori Front-end systems landscape. Knowledge of Performance tuning of SAP landscapes. Experience of some or all technologies currently deployed in the data center (covered in responsibilities). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Required Skill Sets: Over 3-5 years of experience supporting SAP systems, including S/4HANA, CAR, SLT, BO, PO, Solution Manager and cloud services such as CPI and SAM, across both production and non-production environments Skilled in overseeing and maintaining complex SAP landscapes. Experienced in performing installations and system refresh activities for ECC, S4 Landscapes Experienced in spool administration, background job scheduling, and printer management. Proficient in performing system performance analysis Skilled in monitoring and reporting on SAP systems running on HANA, Oracle, and Sybase databases, focusing on proactive risk identification and escalation. Knowledgeable in system upgrades and operations management within complex SAP landscapes Solid understanding of Linux/AIX operating systems, with experience deploying SAP solutions on both platforms Proficient in troubleshooting SAP BASIS issues across both ABAP and Java stacks Strong foundational knowledge of networking, print servers, operating systems, and disk storage systems Minimum one to two years of experience with Oracle, HANA or other SAP supported databases, including basic architectural knowledge Experienced in system copy, client copy, kernel Upgrades, and support package upgrades Familiar with upgrading both ABAP and JAVA stack systems using SUM tools. Experience in implementing Solution Manager Early Watch Alerts (EWA) and conducting technical monitoring for both ABAP and Java systems. Experience with backup and restore operations on HANA, Oracle, or other SAP supported databases. Strong understanding of database, operating system, and network concepts in the context of the SAP landscape. Skilled in SAP performance optimization, monitoring, and transport management. SAP Basis Certification will be an added advantage. Consultant should be available for 24x7 support (3 shift rotation) Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and client-facing experience. Team collaboration and stakeholder management experience. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
